SMALL SCHOLAR UNIVERSITY SUMMER CAMP 2012

Small Scholar University,”  
S.A.L.L.I.'s SUMMER CAMP, is an academic based camp where students engage in activities that strengthen their basic skills.  Through stimulating mind games, reading, and writing, students keep their minds active and ready for the upcoming school year.
Dates: June 25-August 3
(Camp end date depends on enrollment)
*Times: 9:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $320/mo for 1 child
$600/mo for 2 siblings
(Tuition is paid on a monthly basis only.)
One hearty, healthy snack is provided in the morning.
(*Alert teachers to all allergies.)
Lunch is not provided.
Campers are encouraged to bring snacks and a cold lunch in a lunch tote.
After-care campers are encouraged to bring lunch, and 2 snacks.
Accepting ages 7-12

 There is a one time $25 non-refundable registration fee per child.

In our small, private, academic-based camp, students will have daily classes in reading, writing, and math to help strengthen their academic skills over the summer.  We provide one-on-one attention to our small group. In addition, our “Small Scholars” learn a variety of skills through engaging play, stimulating activities, and interesting projects. Students will have classes in home ec, botany, journalism, chemistry, etiquette and manners, architecture, acting, and more.
After care is available.

Classes are subject to change based on schedule.
We do not offer any before care programs before 8:00AM. Also, children who stay later than 4:00PM without the After Care program will be charged a $15 per day penalty. 

 

Fun times

Students have the opportunity to conduct experiments and detail their findings in a science blog.

 The campers work on academic projects on a daily basis. We have a variety of manipulatives that the kids love!

We offer tutoring in the summer. Please call to inquire.

Students will have a ball writing, directing, and performing in their original movie scripts. During After Care, the Small Scholar Campers will work with Rose Jackson, of Rose Theater of Performing Arts. Rose will help the children sharpen their performing arts skills including acting, and singing. Inquire about MOTOWN, our August show.

In a nurturing and friendly environment, students will enjoy reading and writing. We are a print rich environment and we promote academics.

Students will learn the names of various music instruments through music appreciation. In addition, students will learn a variety of piano pieces on one of our upright pianos.

SUMMER ENRICHMENT

Campers take walking trips to local parks to play outdoor games.

Early registration means a huge savings!

Students will engage in academic activities every day. Students will receive one on one tutoring in reading, writing, science, and math.

Small Scholar University Camp serves students ages 7 through 11. Other ages considered. Please inquire.

In Botony class, students will learn the names of the trees in their neighborhood. In addition, students will learn the names of exotic plants, where they grow, and what animals reside in those natural environments.

Camp Day is 8am-4pm

Students will win prizes for each completed book report.

Special discounts available to Salt and Light students.

Campers enjoy studying aqua life.

Classes in 4H available. 4-H is a positive youth development organization that empowers young people to reach their full potential.

Students will have a wonderful experience at "Small Scholar University."
